The Old Church in Amsterdam’s red-light district is a massive building with plenty of space and a feeling of tranquility. In one corner was a floor-to-ceiling white curtain forming a spiral shape. This shot was taken looking straight up at the ceiling.
Stave churches are of entirely wooden construction, from the floor to the roof tiles. Norway has some exceptional examples of these churches, one of the most impressive being at Heddal.
Guildford cathedral is known for its plain glass windows, but there are a few examples of coloured glass. This is a close up shot showing the texture and bubbles in the glass
